Global media focus on U.S. election

The United States wasn’t the only country paying attention to the 2008 U.S. presidential election. International media have long been following the campaigns of Democratic President-Elect Barack Obama and his Republican opponent John McCain. On Nov. 5, the election was front-page news throughout the world.
