Interviews with Missouri Medal Winners

Zubeida Jaffer and Reza Deghati visited the University of Missouri-Columbia this November to receive Missouri Honor Medals. The annual awards are given out by the Journalism School to selected members of the journalism community who have demonstrated distinguished service. Jaffer is an acclaimed South African journalist, who became an important figure in South Africa during the anti-apartheid movement. Reza is a well-known photojournalist, who has used his craft in numerous countries to fight injustice and give a voice to the helpless. His work has taken him from his native Iran to places such as China, Rwanda and Afghanistan, where he has done much of his work. Global Journalist sat down with Jaffer and Reza to discuss their work and some current issues in journalism. The videos are excerpts of the conversations.
