Cuban reporters permitted to return homePosted Dec 17 2008
The U.S. State Department announced Oct. 1 that a decision to deny visas to a husband-and-wife duo of journalists from Cuban press agency Prensa Latina had been reversed. The decision came after condemnation from Reporters Without Borders and the Committee to Protect Journalists.
Tomás Granados Jiménez and Ilsa Rodríguez Santana had been covering the UN in New York since 2005 and were on leave when they were denied reentry.
